After an exciting and competitive ballgame, a tired spirit travels back home in one of the usual ways, the bus!! On the way, he saw one of the commercials on tv where a mother takes care of her new-born. And he realized how fast life has been for him.
Nine months ago, a new chapter in his book of life has opened… and in nine more months, another chapter is waiting to unfold.
January 8, 2007. Married Life
The feeling was unexplainable… no words can describe the mixed emotions when they tied the knot on that date. Only a few of their relatives were there to celebrate with them as the marriage was not “as planned”. The couple planed to get married later in the next year but due to some health considerations, opted to be civilly wed to be able to raise a family as soon as recommended by the wife’s OB.
September 18, 2007. Conception
For the first time after years of busy schedules in the city, the couple was able to visit their hometown in Bicol and celebrate the feast of the Region’s Patron Saint, Ina (Our Lady of Penafrancia). They were able to spend some days with the guy’s mother and the girl’s relatives.
Three days after the week-long vacation, the pregnancy kit showed positive signs of an angel in the womb of the girl. No words can explain the feeling of a new chapter set to unfold in their lives. This is what they have wanted, that’s why they got married “ahead of schedule”. The happiness was overwhelming considering the previous health problems showing “possible” difficulty in conceiving a baby due to some hormonal problems and cysts developed on both ovaries of the mother-to-be. Considering the doctor’s expectation, the angel will become part of their family after eight to nine more months.
And then he came to his senses seeing familiar landmarks telling him that he is nearing his destination… there is still some drizzles, the road is slippery, and he knows he needs to be extra careful…
